HC719 Camp Scott, is Hand Hooked Cotton rug from MICHAELIAN HOMES' Camp Collection. All the Camp Rugs have 100% Cotton face and a Burlap back. The Cotton is new and Recycled Cotton Fabric. Making this a "true" Hand Hooked rug. Camp Scott is a GREAT rug. Sophisticated yet, fun. The unleveled hand dying of the Cotton is a work of art. The Beauty of this rug is in the workmanship of the Dyers...The over all pattern is made up of rectangular Blocks. Inside each Block is a field of Soft Greens. Lying in the field is a bouquet of Flowers. The Flower stems are made up of shades of Browns.. The Flowers are made up of Pale Purples, Violets, Lavenders, Coral, Oranges, rust, and Salmon colors. . The Flowers are surrounded by a Striped border. The Stripes are single rows of coordinating Colors. . Great for all rooms and all Homes ... HC719 Camp Scott is a great companion rug to: H642 Pennies Green HC706 Camp Flintrock We have strived to be faithful to the original designs, construction and materials found in the original American hooked rugs. Traditional Hooked rugs are truly an art form. They are made by taking old fabrics and cutting them into narrow strips. Burlap(often recycled food sacks) was used as the foundation. A needle with a hook on it pushed through from the top of the rug, and the fabric was then drawn to the surface. Thus hooked rugs are often called "drawn-in-rugs". The rugs in our Camp Collection are made exactly the same way, one loop at a time. In our attemp to be "green", we use environmentally correct recycled fabrics, where ever possible
