H583 Chutes wool hooked rug. A chute is defined in the dictionary as “a channel down which falling materials are guided”. For some reason we thought of this when naming this rug design. This is another one of those classic geometric designs which came from the earlier settlers in New England and the Maritime Provinces of Canada. This pattern allowed them to take scraps of material (old clothes , feed bags, you name it) and hit or miss put them in the “boxes” of this design. We have randomized the color placement to the point that there is no repeat, like those earlier rug weavers using whatever color they had next in the next box. Makes for a great look. Note that Chutes is the same design as Kent (H584) except Chutes uses more primary colors. Kent has been dyed with giving it more of a "tea stain" look.
