This needlepoint cushion cover shows the strong featured Ring-necked pheasant (Phasianus Calchicus). They are found from New England to California (mostly in the northern tier of states) with a major concentration in the Dakotas.  State bird of South Dakota.  They were first introduced to the U.S. in 1857. Native to Asia. The females are easily confused for a Grouse, of which we have one (NCU619). Comes with a polyfil stuffer. Backing is beige velvet with a zipper.
