Description

NCU464 ROOSTER. Taken from an antique textile in the collections of The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. Dating to the late 18th century, the textile was painted in India with mordant, a substance used to set dyes. It features bamboo stalks rising from stylized mounds. The rooster and hen are focal points among blue and pink florals, adding charm and just a touch of attitude. Companion to NCU465 Hen. Licensed by The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation in 2007.
