These coverlets are made (including the materials and all processes of manufacturing) in the U.S.A., in Southern Appalachia, with history, heritage and pride. They are true jacquard weave (not afghan), made of 100% cotton, machine washable, and are available for immediate delivery. All are FULL QUEEN and will generously fit a KING size.
Michaelian Home's coverlets are produced in partnership with Mike Harman, grandson of John Goodwin the famous weaver. Mike has painstakingly overseen the design and production process to ensure that these coverlets capture the quality and timeless style of his Grandfather’s original weaves. Approximate size is 107" x 115".
The nice people at the Coverlet museum in Bedford, PA have added the following comment:
"You should know that
your coverlet that is called "Tyler Lion" is actually patterned after
coverlets woven by Bartlett French, not Tyler. B French, who also worked in New
York state, depicted lions in his borders, while Tyler's lions were a different
figure and appeared only in the cornerblocks. We have several examples in our
permanent collection here at the National Museum of the American Coverlet"
