Handmade needlepoint and petit point pillow. Excellent detail and sailing colors make this pillow a must for all Americana collectors. A striking vessel at full mast glides across this pillow, representing one of the frigates that formed the first navy of the new American republic. Its majestic design was inspired by an original oil painting (probably 1805-1825) in the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation’s folk art collection.
