Cotton Eco Rugs

Our traditional cotton hooked rugs are made in the great tradition of the original American hooked rugs. Environmentally recycled fabrics are selected, where available, and cut into narrow strips. Using colorfast cotton dyes, the strips are then hand dyed, giving the rugs a unique, almost painterly look. Backed with sturdy burlap, the strips are then drawn through using a needle with a hook and constructed one loop at a time. Unlike factory-made rugs, our hooked cotton rugs are handmade in the great time-honored tradition for long-lasting wear and beauty.

Cotton is a versatile choice for almost any room in your house. Soft and absorbent, they work great in the kitchen, in bathrooms, and in hallways. Cotton area rugs will brighten and soften any room. As a sustainable material, cotton is a natural fiber that is also easy to care for. Simply vacuum regularly or shake outside to remove debris. Because our rugs are hand dyed, it's best to spot treat with water first to preserve the vibrant colors.
